Just Desserts for Summertime

The Southerly Blog, Towson, MD Summertime desserts are one of the pleasures of life. Make these recipes in your apartment's kitchen.

Last time, The Southerly Blog shared some recipes for grilling and making use of the outdoor grills in our apartment community, and as promised, this time we’re back with some delightful summertime dessert recipes to share. Of course, if you don’t have time to make a dessert, stop by your favorite Towson, MD ice cream shop or bakery on your way home and pick up a sweet treat to end the day!

Grilled Peaches with Vanilla Ice Cream from What's Gaby Cooking

For a delicious dessert, try out these soft and warm grilled peaches. This recipe comes from What’s Gaby Cooking. You’ll need ripe peaches and nectarines, canola oil, vanilla ice cream, honey, and sea salt. Grill the peaches face down, then top with the ice cream, honey, and sea salt.

Super Easy Cream Puffs (I mean it, 3 ingredients!) from Kitchen Trials

We couldn’t believe something this pretty and delicious looking could be “super easy,” but the author of this recipe makes use of frozen puff pastries, mousse mix, and fresh berries for a treat to impress. Add some chunky sugar and powdered sugar to really pull it all together, or mix it up with some fun flavors of mousse, like chocolate or lemon. We can imagine serving these with a nice cup of tea or a light sandwich for your next get-together.

S’mores Shake from Country Living

This s’mores shake is one of the easiest recipes we have on this list. When it’s too hot to make a s’more outside but you still crave a good fireside snack, try making this new twist on our favorite tried-and-true summer classic.

Key Lime Mousse Tart from Garlic & Zest

Crush together NILLA Wafers, sugar, butter, and sweetened coconut flakes to make the delicious crust for this key lime mousse tart. You will love how the sweet and crunchy crust, tart filling, and creamy garnish combine for a flavorful summer treat.

Which one of these was your favorite? What are your go-to summertime desserts? Please share in the comments so we can all enjoy another dessert! Thanks for reading today.
